Itinerary
Day 1Zürich city discovery
- Meeting at the agreed point and transfer to the city centre
- Lunch in the centre with traditional Swiss food
- The old lanes of the Altstadt and the area around the Grossmünster
- The skyline from the Lindenhof and a photo stop on the Limmat
- A walk through the Münsterhof Christmas market
- A walk along Bahnhofstrasse with its lights and windows
- The Singing Christmas Tree live choir
- The Illuminarium light show
- Dinner in the centre and return to the hotel
Day 2The chocolate museum and the Rhine Falls
- Morning departure from the hotel
- The Lindt chocolate museum: exhibition, tasting areas and shop
- The viewing terraces of the Rhine Falls and the Christmas market
- Painted façades, cobbled lanes and the riverside in Stein am Rhein
- Evening return to Zürich
Day 3The Alps, Engelberg and glass art
- Early departure for Alpnachstad
- Up the Pilatus cog railway to the summit, Alpine views and a photo stop
- Down by cog railway to Alpnachstad
- Drive to Engelberg and lunch in the mountain village
- A short walk through the centre of Engelberg
- Glassblowers at work at Glasi Hergiswil; guests who wish can join the glass ball experience
- Return to Zürich at the end of the day
Day 4Departure
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Packing and check out
- Transfer to Zürich Airport
- Check in, baggage and the flight home
